Closure of the Portsmouth Independent Support Service.

 

IS was a short term project which supported families through the transfer process of Educational Statements to Education Health and Care Plans as part of the 2014 SEND reforms.

We will be transferring much of the content to the Portsmouth Disability Forum website ( p-d-f.org.uk ) over the coming months.

IASS - Information Advice and Support Service - Portsmouth SEND Information Advice and Support Service is a service available to parent/carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities between 0-25yrs and to young people aged 16-25 who have special educational needs and disabilities.  The support and advice we provide is impartial, confidential and free.

IPSEA  Independent Parental Special Education Advice (known as IPSEA) is a registered charity (number 327691) operating in England. IPSEA offers free and independent legally based information, advice and support to help get the right education for children and young people with all kinds of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We also provide training on the SEND legal framework to parents and carers, professionals and other organisations.
